January Haul (Primark, Superdrug, HMV...)

By Char Shields - January 24, 2019

Happy 2019 my friends!

A new year means I'm making empty promises to myself, including "spend less money". In comes the student loan which I should be saving and using to buy things that I actually need such as food. So what do I do instead? I go on a shopping trip!

Bristol Shopping Quarter is one of my favourite places to shop and that's exactly where I headed today with some of my friends. It's home to my favourite Primark store, where of course I spent money in first.

The first thing I picked up was this hoodie for the gym. I got it in a bigger size because I like my hoodies to be really baggy.

The next thing I picked up were these shoes which I'm in love with. Usually I don't like to buy shoes from Primark because they just fall apart on me. However, my sister has similar ones from Primark which have lasted her surprisingly long and I've been wanting to get some for ages.

Next we headed to the cosmetic section and I picked up some cotton pads. I already have loads of these but I like to pick some up every time I'm in the store. They're so cheap and really great quality.

Something else I always like to pick up are nails. Primark have some beautiful false nails which I love wearing on nights out.

I also decided to get some false lashes. I've never used Primark lashes before but I've heard really great things about them. And they're only £1 each so even better!

The last thing I got from the cosmetic section was some metallic eye shadow cream. Again, this is something that I've never tried before but thought I'd give it a go.

Winter time means freezing temperatures and cold hands... and I had no gloves. So I decided to get this 2 pack of black gloves which were only £1. This is why I love Primark...

The last section we went to in Primark was the home section. Here I decided to pick up some pink fairy lights to replace the Poundland ones on my bookcase which have finally died after many years.

I also decided to pick up some LED candles. If I'm being honest, I have no idea why I got these...

The next store we headed into was Superdrug. I got this red liquid lipstick by Revolution Pro; easily my favourite makeup brand.

I saw this shower moisturiser by Superdrug's Vitamin E range and decided to try it. Superdrug own brand stuff are the best and I've loved everything I've tried from this range. It's cruelty free, doesn't irritate sensitive skin and was only £1.50... deal!

Next I decided to pick up some Eylure lashes. These are my favourite and ones I buy over and over again.

After Superdrug we went into HMV because I needed new earphones. I also decided to buy a tote bag because I've wanted one for ages and they were half price with any purchase.

Next I decided to go to Poundland to get some cups for my brushes and lipsticks. The old, tatty Starbucks cups just had to go!

Before we went home we popped into Lidl where I got some pretty flowers. Also, can we talk about how cute my border collie calendar is?

That concludes my shopping haul. Now it's time to cry about how much money I've spent.

Until the next time,
